A quentin grant story
The Dragon File

Quentin Grant seemed to have it all. He was young, charming, wealthy, and lived without a care. For him, danger was something that happened far away, only seen on TV or in the news. With his privileged life and a bright future, Quentin never thought everything could fall apart in just one night.
That all changes when his parents are brutally murdered.
The shocking attack thrusts Quentin into a hidden world of espionage, covert operations, and international terrorism as the NSA and CIA descend on his life with terrifying urgency. What Quentin believed was a random tragedy is something far more sinister—part of a catastrophic plot with global consequences. Suddenly hunted by ruthless enemies and manipulated by powerful intelligence agencies, Quentin is forced to abandon everything he once knew.
Fueled by grief and a need for revenge, Quentin is drawn into a desperate race to stop the deadliest terrorist nuclear attack ever planned. While governments work in secret and enemies close in from all sides, Quentin must find his way through a maze of lies, betrayal, assassins, and shifting loyalties. He cannot trust anyone.
Every decision could cost him his life. With each passing moment, the world moves closer to disaster.
Now, this untested young man, who once only wanted to enjoy life, might be the world’s last hope to stop millions from dying in a nuclear attack.
A pulse-pounding thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last.

“Kudos to Col. (Ret) Mark “Snapper” Mattison and his first work”
The Dragon File. In our tumultuous real world, this is a great read that sucks you in and won’t let you stop because, like other authors before him, Col Mattison has spun a yarn that is as compelling as it is scary as a fictional work.
I am hopeful for a series of Quentin Grant tales and can’t wait to see what come next.—

About Mark
Mark “SNapper” Mattison served as a US Air Force commander and F-16C fighter pilot for twenty-nine years, leading teams at the flight, squadron, and wing levels. Throughout his career, he piloted both US and Russian fighters, including the F-16C, MiG-29, SU-22, F-15C, and B-1B. He also gained extensive experience with military and intelligence organizations worldwide, including the CIA.
In third grade, he wrote his first masterpiece titled, “Won’t you be surprised when I play for the Kansas City Chiefs.” Although he played college football, he never played for the Chiefs – he remains a dedicated (rabid) fan.
Mark earned three master’s degrees and spent much of his graduate coursework daydreaming and writing stories. He served on the board of a nonprofit that fed the working poor and taught weekly personal finance classes in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
Drawing on a career spanning military service, government roles, and international assignments, and on living and working in multiple countries, he has gathered a multitude of stories to tell. He is the author of The Dragon File and the upcoming novels The Bear Trap and The King’s Venom.
